When you’re going through the seasons – even if you’re going through a victory – claim those promises of your life…when everything fades away, (God), I believe you’re going to do what you say you’re going to do.”
Whether a crisis strikes at 3am or 2pm, it has the potential to shake us. When God is seemingly speaking loudly and powerfully, we have an easier time remaining steadfast. But, when God shifts to seemingly more silent, it can feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us. Those are the moments, as Allie Schnacky says, that we have to move from relying on our feelings to trusting in God’s promises.
“If you listen to the song “Silence,” you’ll hear it’s all about God’s promises and speaking those over yourself in the middle of the season where it feels like He’s not there. (It’s all about) really encouraging yourself that His word is final and that when he says something, He is going to be faithful to follow through, even if it feels like everything around you is saying otherwise.”
The Schnacky family went through a season like this, where one obstacle after another arrived in their family’s path, culminating when their grandfather fell on Father’s Day. Allie shared how their grandfather hit his head, became paralyzed, and doctors said he’d never walk again. Additionally, nothing could touch his skin without him feeling like he was being electrocuted.
“That (season is) really where that song (was) birthed out off…Don’t buy into that lie that (Satan’s) putting in your mind that things are over; continue to push forward and faith, continue to believe God for who He says that He is.”
“Silence” offers us a chance to join thousands of other Jesus followers in a declaration of faith.
