All throughout Scripture, the Lord tells us that He’s with us; that He’ll never leave us, never forsake us, that He’s got a future, and a hope, and a plan for us. And listen, just behind Jesus, the person I listen to the most in life is my Mama, and she tells me the same thing. And when they’re both telling me that I’ve got something to look forward to, that I have something to put my hope and trust into, I’m gonna listen. And that’s what this song, “Mama Don’t Lie,” is all about. The Lord has given us a purpose. He’s given us a future. We have something to be joyful about.
