The Church has recited the words of the Apostle’s Creed for more than 1500 years. It’s the very truth of God…the essential things we believe as followers of Jesus. We’ve also sung it for more than 30 years now. CREED isn’t our song or even a new song. But it’s a song we all need to sing! Rich Mullins originally released this classic in 1993 and we’re so excited to introduce it to an entirely new generation of Christian radio listeners while creating beautiful nostalgia for fans of Rich (or Third Day who also recorded it in the early 2000s). This song united us around the truths of God…the pillars of faith. That God was real. He came to Earth to dwell among us. Jesus died for us. He rose again! He ascended to Heaven. He rules and He reigns. He’s coming back again! These are the things we bet our lives on as followers of Jesus. They are true.
Rich writes “I did not make it, no it is making me. It is the very truth of God not the invention of any man.” This is a declaration for 2024 if we’ve ever heard one! The Scriptures tell us who God is and they tell us how to live and who we are to be in response to what He’s done for us. Shane & Shane is the combination of solo artists Shane Barnard and Shane Everett. After meeting in college, Shane & Shane began writing songs and touring the country leading worship.
