The Song Story
I was never someone who prayed for Jesus to return. Honestly, I thought more about going to be with Him someday than I ever thought about Him coming back to be with us. But on one occasion, I was reading Revelation 22. I don’t know about you…if you’ve ever read a verse in the Bible so many times but then one day, you read it and it just clicks. This happened to me. I was reading Revelation 22:17 and it says the Spirit and the Bride says come. And I went “hold up”. The Spirit…that’s the Holy Spirit. That means God is saying “Come, Jesus”. Then it says the Bride–that’s you and I–we’re called to join in. That is why this song exists. I want to long more for Jesus to return. I long to love people better towards His return. I want to build things that matter more towards His return. I want to join in with the Spirit of God and sing “Come!”

Sometimes I fall to my knees and pray
Come Jesus come let today be the day
Sometimes I feel like I’m gonna break
But I’m holding on to a hope that won’t fade
Come Jesus Come
We’ve been waiting so long
For the day You return to heal every hurt
And right every wrong
We need you right now
Come and turn this around
Deep down I know this world isn’t home
Come Jesus come
One day He’ll come, and we’ll stand face to face
Come and lay it all down cause it might be today
The time is right now there’s no need to wait
Your past will be washed by rivers of grace
Come Jesus Come
We’ve been waiting so long
For the day You return to heal every hurt
And right every wrong
We need you right now
Come and turn this around
Deep down I know this world isn’t home
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come
Come Jesus come
