Fact Check
THE biggest song (most-popular + most-sung) that you may not be currently playing is “Rest On Us” from Housefires + Bethel Music. This song emerged a few years ago from Maverick City Music, Upperroom and Brandon Lake. There have been several versions since then and it’s been streamed more than 140M times. It’s currently consuming just under 5k per week total (4722 as of 1/26).
There are only 11 songs currently at radio out-consuming “Rest On Us” right now. It’s clearly a favorite for so many! It’s also being sung every week at a very high level in the church. It’s #28 on the CCLI Top 100 right now!
And don’t forget Chartmetric…it’s current Track Score is 77 as of 1/27.
The purpose of these weekly Fact Check posts is to share the data that helps tell the story of a song…the stuff that reveals behavior and may help you spot hits a lot quicker than you might have in the past. We’re sharing ALL the data…not just the data that only helps our song look better. If you haven’t looked through the charts in a while, it’s worth your time.
This week, “Hard Fought Hallelujah” is the #1 most-streamed song in Christian music with just shy of 3M weekly streams. It’s about to go BONKERS on 2/7 with Jellyroll’s feature. 😳
Overall, streaming across the Top 200 was down but the bright spot was a song from Sons Of Sunday which is a new project launched by Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown, Pastor Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, Pat Barrett and Leeland. Their song “GOD DID!” just released on 1/17 and got 537k streams in it’s first week.
