Fact Check

Gratitude and anxiety cannot co-exist. It’s science. Seriously…check this article: CLICK HERE. This song from Mosaic MSC called “This Is How I Thank The Lord” reminds us of when we sent “Gratitude” from Brandon Lake to radio in June of 2022:

Gratitude: 38.1 MILLION US streams
This Is How I Thank The Lord: 42.3 MILLION US streams

Gratitude grew quickly between the end of 2021 and June of ’22 due to the acoustic performance of the song in The Chosen Christmas special. By the Summer of ’22, the song had a 61 Chartmetric score. You’ll see us sharing those Track Scores more and more because they’re yet another indicator of behavior…how a song is connected and reacting with music consumers. At its peak in May of this year, “This Is How I Thank The Lord” reached a Track Score of 59 and has been steady in the mid-30s since then. As of today, its score is 30. For reference, the #1 song at Christian AC this week is “Nothin Sweeter” from TobyMac which has a Track Score of 43

“This Is How I Thank The Lord” was written at the first songwriting retreat for Mosaic MSC coming out of the misery that was C*VID-19 in California. They didn’t anticipate writing a song of gratefulness but that’s exactly what the Lord gave them. It washed away the fear and anxiety they had been feeling and since then, the song has resonated with MILLIONS of people.

Much like Gratitude from Brandon Lake in 2022, timing could be really special on this one if you guys snuck it on before Christmas music. What if the song served as a theme song the first week of November? It’s gonna be gnarly. Gratitude dispels anxiety. What if in that first week (Election week) you guys did a gratitude focused thing…or even on Election Day? Stories from listeners. Artists sharing what they’re grateful for. And you had content about the science of gratefulness? This song could launch and you could take that theme and imagine through Thanksgiving.
Put it in research…see how people feel about the song…see if they know it!
This one might serve radio VERY well headed into a very difficult month.
Oh…and take a look at where “Gratitude” from Brandon Lake started when we sent it to radio in 2022. 👀
