Show Them Who God Is Through Encouragement

If encouragement literally means to put courage into someone (to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope), what could possibly put more courage into a man or woman than showing them exactly who God is and what He has done for us through the finished work of Jesus on the cross?

If you’re here to be positive and encouraging…if your goal is to be uplifting. If your goal is to bring people hope: BOLDLY tell people who Jesus is. Play the songs that tell of His nature and character, of His glory and goodness…of His love. Play the songs that help people express their gratitude and love for Him and what He has done…the songs the allow us to give our very breath back to Him. Artists and writers, please write these songs! Write new songs of the God who renews our strength when we are weary…the one who gives us rest when we are heavy with burdens.

Give the people what the NEED…not merely what you think they’ll want.

Maybe your radio station is. Perhaps Some radio station’s mission is to bring people joy or hope. IF that’s you, play those songs that share the truth of scripture. The Word of God will not return void. It’s the only thing that changes us. Our words will leave people wanting…His word will satisfy their souls.

…or what the few will tell you they want. Play songs because they’re true and they’re resonating with people. We desperately need to know who God is and what He has done for us through Jesus. We don’t need the coolest songs. We need the truth. Sometimes that comes together in perfect banger vibes. But sometimes, it’s a song you need to listen beyond the first verse and first chorus…with the ears of a listener needing hope, not ears of judgement.

Followers of Jesus who listen to you are weary. They need to remember the gospel. They come to you to worship God, to grow spiritually and because they want to be encouraged. Here’s proof.
