Why This Matters
Jon Reddick’s new song is on fire. That’s a FACT! Not only do we have 48 stations on the song (which is incredible), the song saw a 40% increase in streaming last week alone. Radio is leading the way and the people are scrambling to hear the song again and again!
The song resonates with people because it was written “from a place of learning to let go of what I was never meant to carry and trust God with what felt too heavy to hold.” This is so key for so many…first of all, for me. I have so many things I’m navigating everyday in my life, in my family, and in my work. I control nothing. I only control my own self and honestly, I fail at that everyday in some way.
Yet, when I yield my need to control situations, outcomes or others and fully trust God with everything, He continually blows my mind. He gives me peace. He’s so close to me. His ways and path for me is always better.
Trust God. Don’t lean on your own understanding. Yield the need to control. Acknowledging Him and watch Him make your path straight.
