Hurt is such a complex thing. Sometimes it can start out as sarcasm, maybe a snarky comment? Other times we hurt people in subtle ways without even knowing it. The only way we can heal our hearts is to recognize, and let go of all the things that stand in the way of seeking what God desires for our lives and relationships. When the hurt of the world was placed upon our savior, Jesus looked at the very people that deserved to be hurt and said, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.” To rest in the power, grace and love of Jesus, that’s what heals the hurt in our hearts.

Hurt people hurt people but the love of God will heal our hearts, then another, then another.
